Alternatives Operations Lead

The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the Operational strategy and will play a key role in driving efficient implementation and oversight of new Alternative investments with the firms key strategic partners across front, middle and back-office operations.  The candidate will also be versed in a broad set of technology capabilities supporting Alternatives. 

 

  • Lead a team of operations associates focused on Alternative Products including training and onboarding of new resources

  • Provide hands on Alternative Operations support for the organization (Ex. capital calls, deal closings, leverage maintenance, asset monitoring) and be responsible for the operations workflows

  • Evaluate various alternative investment products & utilization within funds

  • Lead future state model design, document workflows and build efficient operating model jointly with Strategic Partners

  • Align with Product and Investments in support of Alternatives Operations

  • Provide oversight and serve as point of escalation with key Strategic Partner providing middle and back-office services

  • Influence oversight models with key Strategic Partner as well as additional third-party providers

  • Effectively communicate to all levels of the organization including executive leadership

  • Support trade life cycle for broadly syndicated bank loans

  • Provide business analysis skills to capture business and technical requirements in support of solution designs

  • Assist with deal life-cycle events including restructurings

  • Ability to build & manage a team of people and build effective relationships with Alternative leadership teams

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with strategic partners

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Analyze data to evaluate risk and drive decisions

  • Experience in delivering meaningful solutions to process design including leveraging new technology capabilities

  • Demonstrated ability in identifying and resolving complex problems

  • Experience in building and documenting operational processes and controls

  • Experience managing internal stakeholders as well as to executive levels

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, advance degree preferred

  • Background in Finance or Accounting

  • 7 + years buy-side Operations experience with direct engagement supporting Alternative investments

  • Thorough understanding of Alternatives life-cycle events across multiple products including but not limited to Private Credit, CLOs and Broadly Syndicated Loans

  • Knowledge of Alternatives platforms
