Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will be both a strategic and operational leader responsible for driving category growth. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sales management, customer relationship building, and a deep understanding of the CPG and retail landscape. You would be a great fit for this role if you have a proven track record of breaking new ground by asking "What if?", building new approaches, and driving results through a blend of creative thinking, problem solving, and rolling up your sleeves.

  • You use data and insights to analyze sales data, market trends, customer needs and competitive landscape to inform business decisions and optimize sales performance, and prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.

  • You're a visionary that will advocate for our brand to ensure our products receive proper placement, lead the ideation and development of new and innovative products, and identify inefficiencies in current product line to improve the offering, identify product gaps, and make recommendations to buyers.

  • You believe in and prioritize the collective success of the team and are quick to jump in, help, and take on new responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of related experience in business development and sales within retail, CPG, or a related e-commerce business.

  • Strong understanding of the CPG and grocery retail market dynamics, including key players and industry trends.

  • Proven success in developing and implementing strategic sales plans.

  • Excellent account management skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients.

  • Willingness to represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and build industry connections
