Controller
The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a $100 million consumer products manufacturing and distribution company. This role involves managing the accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. The Controller will supervise two staff members and report directly to the company's owners, ensuring the company's financial health and stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the owners and other stakeholders.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop and manage the annual budget process, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate and achievable financial plans.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with recommendations for corrective actions.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Oversee external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure timely and

Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure the company can meet its financial obligations.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Strategic Planning:
Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by the owners.
Participate in long-term financial planning and strategy development to support the company's growth and profitability.
Financial Systems and Processes:
Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance
Experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
