KYC Compliance Associate
A leading financial services firm is seeking a Compliance Associate to support its robust BSA/AML compliance program across multiple business lines, including Trading, Lending, and Asset Management. This role will focus on Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements through client identification evaluations, risk assessments, and due diligence processes. The position requires close collaboration with Senior Management, Legal, Technology, clients, and investors to maintain a strong compliance framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and review OFAC, Sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screenings, investigating potential matches and escalating issues as needed.
Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and Customer Risk Ranking to assess potential AML risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Analyze and investigate AML alerts, determining if Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) should be filed per regulatory requirements.
Implement and enhance BSA/AML and OFAC compliance procedures to align with evolving regulations and industry best practices.
Ensure adherence to CDD, EDD, and Transaction Monitoring processes while maintaining a high standard of client service.
Identify and escalate compliance and risk concerns as necessary.
Assist institutional clients and investors with the onboarding process, including responding to inquiries about platform integration and compliance requirements.
Provide an exceptional client-first experience through clear and professional communication via email and scheduled calls.
Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience in compliance, specifically conducting end-to-end KYC onboarding reviews.
At least 1 year of experience in cryptocurrency compliance.
Strong understanding of BSA/AML regulations, including CDD, EDD, and Transaction Monitoring.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Bachelor’s degree required.
