Python Developer / Data Engineer

The firm is seeking an individual to support and enhance its non-latency systems and data mart. This hands-on role will involve collaboration across multiple departments, including Finance, Risk, Accounting, Compliance, Clearing, Operations, and Portfolio Financing, to achieve key goals. The position will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions that provide valuable insights into the firm’s operations.

Position Responsibilities:

• Support and enhance the firm’s non-latency systems and data mart.

• Collaborate with teams across the firm to understand system requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.

• Respond quickly to ad hoc data and reporting requests from various departments.

• Design and implement software solutions that provide unique insights into the firm’s operations.

• Improve and expand existing surveillance and alerting infrastructure to support firm-wide objectives.

Requirements:

• BA, BS, or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Strong proficiency in Python is required; experience with Pandas is a plus.

• Knowledge of database design and support is beneficial; basic SQL skills are required.

• Familiarity with RESTful API design.

• A solid understanding of data structures and containers.

• Basic understanding of Linux and source control (Git).

• Experience with data warehousing and mining is a plus.

• Experience with dashboard design and data visualization is advantageous.
