Senior Analyst, Private Debt Operations

  • An opportunity is available for a Private Markets Operations Analyst to support a Private Debt Investment team and other Alternative Investments. This role is cross-functional and integral to the daily management of portfolio operations, fund administration, and treasury activities for private debt and other alternative strategies. Key responsibilities include supporting pricing, data integrity, trade operations and settlements, account transitions, asset servicing, and reconciliations. The position will also contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within this space.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Address and resolve cash, trade, and position discrepancies, as well as other open items between internal systems and external sources.

    • Act as a liaison between portfolio managers, compliance, finance teams, and service providers, ensuring effective communication and resolution of portfolio-specific activities and issues.

    • Coordinate daily with custodians, loan agents, and fund administrators.

    • Oversee the trade process, including trade booking, broker confirmation, and loan settlement workflows.

    • Escalate unresolved issues, such as trade breaks or unsettled transactions, to relevant parties.

    • Manage asset facility compliance, borrowing base calculations, and payment waterfalls.

    • Perform loan agent responsibilities or oversee third-party loan agency services.

    • Coordinate and oversee outsourced providers and vendors involved in relevant operational functions.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations related to private credit, bank loans, or private equity strategies within a large fund or asset management firm.

    • Proficiency in handling structured debt and a variety of credit products is required.

    • Familiarity with systems such as Wall Street Office and Clearpar is a plus.

    • Experience with Allvue, Aladdin, Appian, or Hazeltree is advantageous.

    • Background in direct lending investments is preferred.

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formula usage, with proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Outlook, and Word.

    • Understanding of accounting principles and their application to investment transactions is a plus.

    • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative and helpful approach.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Capability to multitask and manage projects effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
