Senior Associate- Deal Operations
A well-established investment firm is seeking a Senior Associate to support Deal Operations and Pipeline Management within its Finance team. This role will be instrumental in overseeing the deal pipeline across multiple funds, managing the firm’s CRM and deal management platform, and leading strategic initiatives to enhance system functionality. The position is focused on streamlining operational processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring consistency in reporting, reconciliation, and data management. The Senior Associate will work closely with teams across Sales, Trading, Portfolio Management, Transaction Management, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Platform Manager for the CRM and pipeline management system, ensuring seamless functionality, user access, and system enhancements.
Lead platform updates and improvements, coordinating with IT teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to implement enhancements.
Manage the full project lifecycle, including gathering requirements, planning, execution, testing, and deployment.
Support deal pipeline management across multiple investment business units.
Review transaction documents and investment committee materials to ensure key data points are accurately recorded.
Prepare and distribute reports, developing key performance metrics to assess deal activity.
Conduct data checks and maintain dashboards to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency across systems.
Enforce data quality standards and governance practices, ensuring teams maintain up-to-date and accurate records.
Develop and maintain process and workflow documentation for the platform and related operational procedures.
Monitor day-to-day operational activities, providing support as needed.
Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests to support broader organizational goals.
Contribute to firm-wide data governance initiatives to maintain data integrity across all platforms.
Provide training and ongoing support to platform users, tracking usage and system performance.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong relationship management skills, with experience working across teams and external vendors.
Solid understanding of the investment lifecycle in credit and private equity; operational experience preferred.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Power BI, Word, Outlook); experience with Tableau and Alteryx is a plus.
Hands-on experience with deal management or CRM systems, particularly DealCloud or other relational databases.
Strong project management background, with expertise in platform enhancements and system changes.
Experience in data visualization and dashboard creation using tools such as Excel or Power BI.
Self-motivated, proactive team player with a strong sense of accountability.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
Technical skills in process automation or systems optimization are a plus.
Familiarity with data governance best practices to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Experience enforcing data quality standards, with the ability to engage teams in maintaining data integrity.
