Surveillance Analyst
A leading global trading firm is seeking a Surveillance Analyst to monitor trading activities and identify any potentially manipulative or non-compliant behaviors. Given the complexity and evolving nature of regulatory requirements, this role is essential in ensuring compliance by investigating potential issues and properly documenting findings.
The Surveillance Analyst will develop a broad understanding of the firm's daily business activities, oversee trading patterns, respond to regulatory inquiries, and support various compliance-related projects. This position requires close collaboration with Legal and Compliance, Trading, Operations, and other teams to uphold high regulatory standards across the organization.
Key Qualifications:
1+ years of experience analyzing large datasets (experience in market surveillance and investigations is preferred but not required)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with multiple teams
Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized
Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Willing to learn from mistakes and accept constructive feedback
Familiarity with surveillance tools (e.g., Nasdaq Trade Surveillance) is a plus
SQL skills are a plus
